Byron
Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) is a volunteer run non-profit (501c3), located
in Byron, Minnesota.
BYSA’s mission is to foster, promote, and perpetuate the game
of soccer for youth in the community of Byron including the boundaries of
Independent School District 531 and southeastern Minnesota.
BYSA is affiliated with
SouthernMinnesota Soccer League (SMSL). SMSL is sanctioned by
United States Specialty Sports Association – Soccer (USSSA
Soccer) and is a member of
US Soccer.
BYSA currently offers a spring and fall season every year
with two tiers of age-based competition. Recreational League (Pre-K – 5th
grade) and Competitive League (U9-U19).
Spring Recreational season is eight weeks long beginning in mid-April (weather
permitting). The fall Recreational season is six weeks long
beginning in late August.
Spring Competitive
season begins in early April (indoor practices) and continues through late
June or early July. The fall Competitive season begins in late August and
extends into October.
BYSA also offers winter
and summer camp programs that are managed by professional coaches
from Brazil (
TetraBrazil). Camps are open to all age groups.
