Traveling League Director
BYSA participates in two traveling seasons. One season is in the fall and another in the spring.
The fall traveling season is league play. Typically teams play one game each weekend somewhere in Southeast Minnesota (Lacrosse, Mankato, Albert Lea, Northwood, Byron, Rochester, Owatonna, South Twin Cities, etc).
The spring traveling season is all tournament play. BYSA will recommend 5 tournaments for our teams to play in. The team manager or coach is responsible for booking the tournament registration. Most tournaments are multi-day, multi-game, weekend tournaments in the Twin Cities area. Coaches may select to play tournaments in other locations as well.
Teams are formed by player birth-date and follow the MYSA standards for age groups. We regularly have male and female teams competing from U9 through U13.
Teams are coached by a volunteer or a TetraBrazil hired coach. BYSA will make this determination based on availability.
Registration costs vary by season (fall vs spring) and coaching (volunteer vs TetraBrazil).
|U10 & younger||Playing time will be divided as evenly as possible, with the understanding that players are attending practices and there are no extenuating disciplinary concerns.|
|U11 & U12||
Players will be given adequate playing time, with all players participating in each game, with the understanding that players are attending practices and there are no extenuating disciplinary concerns.
|U13 & older||Playing time will be allocated at the discretion of the coach. Players will earn their playing time through demonstrated skills, positive attitude and teamwork, and participating with full effort during practices and games.|
