What is the registration deadline?
Fall 2023 Traveling League registration will be open through July 28th.
How much does it cost?
The cost of registration for Fall 2023 Traveling League depends on the age of the player, and is set as follows:
U11 -U14 (birth year 2013 and older) $265
- Professional coached team
- 3 days of practice per week
- Season will run from the end of August to the beginning of October (approx 6 weeks)
U9 & U10 (birth year 2014 and younger) $160
- Parent coached team
- 2 days of practice per week
- Season will run from the end of August to the beginning of October (approx 6 weeks)
Can I split up my payment?
Yes, we are offering payment options for the fall season. Fees can be split into 2 payments. The first payment is due at the time of registration and the second will be automatically drafted on August 15th. Please note Sports Connect adds a $3 per payment installment fee which is retained by them in its entirety.
What is the time commitment for games and/or tournaments?
BYSA traveling teams participate in Southern MN Soccer League (SMSL) play in the fall. Teams will compete in 6 games, 1 per week, 3 home and 3 away, beginning after Labor Day.
When are practices held?
Practice days and times will be finalized after registration is complete, as the schedule is based upon the number of teams we form.
Does my child need a uniform?
The BYSA uniform is required game attire for all players. The uniform kit can be purchased through SquadLocker. Each player is required to have the white jersey, black/gold jersey and shorts. Player's last names are printed on the back of the jersey and player numbers are assigned by BYSA. If your child is new to the BYSA traveling program, you will receive an email when the jersey number has been assigned and an order can be placed.
Can my child's entire team play up at the next age level?
Occasionally there are requests for a team to play at the next age level. This may be to get the kids on a larger field, or to give the kids more challenging play. If a team wishes to play at the next age level, a representative of the team must contact the BYSA Board to request to have their team registered at a higher age level. Keep in mind this could affect the cost of registration and the difference will need to be paid by each registered player. This decision must be made before the team gets registered with SMSL and the coaches are assigned to teams. The BYSA Board has final approval.
What is your refund policy?
It is the policy of BYSA to retain all registration fees for any player withdrawing from the association after team assignments have been made. BYSA shall maintain control of the player card for the withdrawing player. In the unlikely event of a full season cancelation, all but $15 will be refunded. This amount covers fixed costs associated with registration.
